Return to Work Services - Original Employer
Meeting your WorkCover and return to work obligations at your workplace is a vital part of managing your business. Cost effective injury management practices and clear return to work policies and procedures will assist in minimising your insurance premium, maintaining morale and productivity and meeting your legal obligations.
Return to Work Services - New Employer
When an employer cannot accommodate an injured employee’s medical restrictions a vocational assessment may be conducted to identify alternative employment options. Job seeking assistance is then provided to enable the individual to obtain new employment.
Occupational Rehabilitation Case Management
The timely and effective management of an injured employee's return to work plan and process is a legislative requirement. Our consultants will liaise with the insurance agent, treaters, employer and employee to upgrade the duties and hours on the return to work plan with the ultimate goal of achieving a sustained return to work outcome.
Job Seeking Assistance
For individuals requiring assistance to seek new employment, our consultants provide support and expertise through a structured Job Seeking Assistance (JSA) program. This includes resume development, interview coaching, job seeking activities and job placement support.
Employment Management for Long-term Claims
To assist in the resolution of longer term claims, alternative approaches that take into account individual barriers to return to work are utilised to achieve resolution.
Cognitive Functional Capacity Evaluation
The CFCE is a new innovation in the management of psychological injury claims. It has been designed to provide the basis for efficiently determining the best course of intervention in psychological injury and return to work management.
Early Intervention Case Management
Early intervention case management is an employer funded service for non-compensable or pre-claim injuries or illness. Our Early Intervention Case Management service allows employers to refer individuals early for occupational rehabilitation (within 5 days of injury) before problems become entrenched and workplace relations strained.
| Case Conferencing
Case Conference involves bringing together everyone who may have been affected by an injury management or return to work action, conflict, or dispute, and provides a way of discussing the nature of action and the impact that it has had on the individuals.

Initial Rehabilitation Needs Assessments
Every individual, work situation and injury is different. When an injured employee is referred for RTW/occupational rehabilitation services, an Initial Rehabilitation Needs Assessment is recommended. The aim of an Initial Rehabilitation Needs Assessment is to identify any barriers to a return to work and to develop goals in assisting the individual’s safe return to employment.
Worksite Assessments
Worksite assessments are an important tool to assess the physical demands of pre-injury duties and to identify suitable alternative and modified duties for return to work planning.
Functional Capacity Evaluation
Following an injury, 'capacity profiling' can be an effective intervention to ensure the suitability of available duties. A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is a valuable assessment tool designed to quantify a person’s physical capacity and functional performance with emphasis on return to work.
Office Ergonomic Assessments
Inappropriate computer workstation set up and work practices are common causes of musculoskeletal injury. Ensuring your employees have correctly adjusted workstations is sound risk management. Our consultants are qualified physiotherapists, ergonomists or occupational therapists. Our ergonomic assessments cover workstation set up; safe work practices and organising work flow.
Vocational Assessments
When an employer cannot accommodate an injured individual’s medical restrictions in the long term, a vocational assessment is recommended. This identifies suitable alternative employment options, taking into account the individual’s medical restrictions, current work capacity, past work experience and transferable skills.
Vocational Reeducation Assessments
Where it is identified that further training is required to secure employment, a Vocational Re-education Assessment is recommended.
Early Stress Intervention Assessments
When the full complexity of a stress claim is not identified, it is difficult to develop an appropriate rehabilitation or return to work program. ResolutionsRTK has earned an enviable reputation in the design and implementation of early intervention assessments to assist in the management of complex stress claims.
Activities of Daily Living
On occasions, injured individuals may require assistance with their activities of daily living (ADLs) due to the nature of their injuries.
Physical Hazard Inspection
Performed regularly, Physical Hazard Inspections are an effective risk assessment and injury management tool.
Task Analysis
