Respectful Workplace Programs
The goal of Respectful Workplace Programs is to support the shift of workplace culture from conflict avoidance to one of conflict resolution using collaborative problem-solving and facilitative processes.
Objectives include:
- Promoting conflict resolution that encourages constructive conflict and discourages destructive conflict
- Building management skills in conflict resolution
- Raising employee awareness of the negative impacts of conflict avoidance and the benefits of addressing conflict directly, respectfully and constructively
- Having clear procedures that support timely and effective responses to conflict without needing to resort to formal measures
- Having a full range of Alternative Dispute Resolution options available
