This comprehensive program starts with the formation of an internal Project Team and it engages everyone through a thorough consultation process (as also demanded by OHS legislation). It then moves to an optional survey (see PRES) producing a detailed risk matrix of psycho-social hazards. Focus groups are a vital next step to confirm and drill deeper into the identified hazards and plan control actions.

A Government organisation, employing a few hundred people who implemented the Psychological Risk Management System and followed through with the implementation of the risk control action plan have found that their absenteeism significantly reduced within six months.
