Introducing ResolutionsRTK Restore

ResolutionsRTK has been assisting individuals with their rehabilitation and safe and sustainable return to work since 1988. Our specialist occupational rehabilitation team, restore, is a registered provider for the Victorian WorkCover Authority, Comcare and the Transport Accident Commission.

How do I know that ResolutionsRTK will give me the support I need?

An injury or illness can be a significant challenge in your life. ResolutionsRTK works in partnership with you to address the challenges you may face with your recovery and eventual return to work. Working together with you , your treating medical practitioners and your employer (where relevant), we will develop a program to assist your return to work according to your medical restrictions. This may be returning to work with your pre-injury employer or returning to work with a new employer.

Our restore team is comprised of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, vocational counsellors and ergonomists, supported by a broader team with a range of professional backgrounds. A consultant will be selected to assist you, based on your individual needs.

We aim to:

• Assist you to remain at or return to safe, suitable employment
• Provide you with the necessary skills and information to manage your injury/ illness at work

What services are provided?

Everybody’s situation is different. As such, the occupational rehabilitation services that will benefit you the most will depend on your individual circumstances.

Services will differ if you are able to return to the workplace you were at when you were injured or if you need to secure a new job at a new workplace. Some of our services include:

Initial Assessment:

Your ResolutionsRTK restore consultant will meet with you to discuss your current medical status and employment status in order to determine your specific rehabilitation needs with regard to your recovery and eventual return to work.

Return to Work Programs – Original Employer:

If it has been determined that you are able to return to your pre-injury workplace, once you are ready to return to work, your consultant will consider the advice from your medical practitioner and identify suitable tasks and duties that you can do to return to your workplace. We will be there to support you through this process as part of the return to work program.

Return to Work Programs – New Employer:

If it has been determined that you are unable to return to pre-injury workplace, you may be referred for job seeking assistance. This service is aimed at equipping you with the skills needed to secure new employment within the medical guidelines that apply to you at that time and facilitating your return to the workplace.

What happens if I can’t travel far?

All services are coordinated through our head office in Prahran. Arrangements can be made for services to be provided at your workplace, head office, or at any of our satellite offices throughout the metropolitan area.

How do I choose ResolutionsRTK as my preferred service provider?

If you are entitled to receive occupational rehabilitation services, you can speak with your employer / WorkSafe Agent, the Transport Accident Commission or Comcare (as relevant to your individual circumstances) regarding a referral to our services.

For individuals who have a workplace injury / illness, your employer or WorkSafe insurance Agent will provide you with a list of suitable service providers to choose from. You need to choose one from this list.

Step 1

If you have any question regarding your rehabilitation or service provider, contact your employer, WorkSafe Insurance Agent or ResolutionsRTK.

Step 2

Contact your employer or WorkCover Insurance Agent and advise them that you have chosen to work with ResolutionsRTK as your preferred service provider.

Step 3

Upon receipt of a referral from your WorkCover insurance agent we will contact you to arrange an appointment.

Remember if you don’t make a choice within 14 days, your employer is required to choose for you.
