Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)

ResolutionsRTK conduct FCE's using the WorkHab System.r The WorkHab System is administered by trained and licensed physiotherapists or occupational therapists. The WorkHab FCE uses ‘capacity profiling’, incorporating physiological performance, standardised testing procedures and clinical objectiveness to determine safe worker performance levels in comparison to the individual's required work and/or other activities of daily living.

Prior to the assessment, current medical information is gathered and approval from the treating doctor is sought to ensure safety and involvement in the testing. A variety of tests are used to determine the individual’s physical work limits and includes activities such as: lifting, pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, bending and squatting tolerances, cardio-vascular fitness, functional abilities, grip strength and manual handling techniques.

Following the assessment, an easy to read and objective report is generated that includes results and recommendations with an emphasis on return to work physical capabilities.
