Conflict Coaching

Wouldn’t it be great if your managers and supervisors could more effectively manage conflict in their teams? How useful would it be if you could have a team member understand both sides of a conflict they are involved in, and find a way to work through and resolve it?

Our experienced Conflict Coaches work with the Client to help them develop an understanding of the conflict, increase self-awareness and insights, and consider the conflict from all points of view. A focus on collaboration and cooperative problem solving approaches creates the potential for a more effective engagement in interpersonal conflict.

In Coaching, it is assumed that the client is the expert in their personal and professional life, and that they are creative, resourceful and whole. It is the Coach’s responsibility to:

  • Discover, clarify and align with what the client wants to achieve;
  • Encourage client self-discovery
  • Help the client to recognise other points of view
  • Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies
  • Hold the client as responsible and accountable

Conflict Coaching can benefit any individual in the organisation wanting to resolve a dispute or conflict, including senior managers, supervisors and team leaders, and team members.

When one party to a workplace conflict is not ready to participate in mediation or facilitation, conflict coaching can be an ideal alternative intervention.
