Employee Assistance Programs

An EAP is a staff support service funded by the employer that is short-term, voluntary and confidential. Through the provision of an EAP, targeted assistance can identify and resolve the personal and work related concerns of employees that adversely affect their job satisfaction and productivity in the workplace. Employee assistance programs can range from support for staff during periods of intensive change, counselling to tackle the problems of stress, return-to-work, and relationship issues, to defined organizational policies on substance abuse and bullying. Employee assistance programs are established by employers who recognize that providing professional support for their staff makes good business sense.

People Assist Programs

ResolutionsRTK’s People Assist Program has been designed as a contemporary approach to EAP service delivery that can be adapted to the changing needs of the workplace environment.

The three service streams that make up the People Assist Program are:

  1. Employee Assist – a short-term, solutions focussed counselling service to address a broad range of work and personal issues impacting on employee wellbeing and productivity.
  2. Manager Assist – a coaching service designed to support line and project management staff with people management strategies for a wide variety of performance issues.
  3. Career Assist – a career support service that can assist staff make informed career decisions that align with their skills, experience and preferences as part of a career planning, development or transition process internal or external to the organisation.

A People Assist Program enables progressive organisations to transform their current employee support offerings to be more integrated, innovative and proactive whilst maintaining the basic elements of an EAP.

Manager Assist

Line managers, project/team leaders and supervisors are increasingly expected to respond to a variety of complex people issues that sometimes requires access to management coaching over and above a phone advisory service. Manager Assist is a short-term, solutions oriented coaching service. It provides your line and project management staff the opportunity to discuss people management challenges and concerns in a confidential setting, including the development of skills and strategies for a wide range of performance issues .

Manager Assist aims to complement the HR support resources available within your organisation.

Career Assist

Career Assist is a support service that can assist your managers and staff to make informed career decisions that align with their skills, experience and preferences as part of a career planning, development or transition process internal or external to the organisation.

Critical Incident Debriefing Services

Critical Incident Debriefing is a crisis intervention strategy for diffusing the reactions and emotions surrounding a traumatic event. It is delivered within 24-48 hours after the incident has occurred and is usually offered to all those who may be directly or indirectly affected by the event.

Critical Incident Debriefing enables those traumatised by the incident to work through their thinking and feelings so that they experience the grief process in a normalised and healthy manner.

It is also a widely accepted intervention for minimising the development of post traumatic stress disorder that can often result in time off work and a graduated return to work as part of the recovery process.

General Debriefing Services

General Debriefing Services is a means of diffusing emotionally charged or stress inducing situations resulting from interpersonal/team conflict or significant change processes;particularly where there is a loss of jobs or a significant redeployment of staff.

It enables affected staff members to verbalise their emotions and concerns in a confidential and safe environment with the purpose of normalising the range of responses. This assists individuals or the group to maintain their focus and productivity in the workplace.

Life Balance Coaching

General Debriefing Services is a means of diffusing emotionally charged or stress inducing situations resulting from interpersonal/team conflict or significant change processes;particularly where there is a loss of jobs or a significant redeployment of staff.

Career Coaching

A Career Coach works with individuals who are thinking about or acting upon a career transition, providing guidance and expertise in required areas, from identifying new directions and opportunities to behavioural interview preparation.
